Security & privacy
Recruit records are treated as confidential.
Duty Belt holds attendance, deficiency, counseling and fitness records on peace officer candidates. We handle them with California's confidentiality rules for peace officer records in mind.
A login for every person
Each staff member signs in with their own account. No shared passwords.
Access checked before anything loads
A person who hasn't been given access to your academy can't reach any of its data.
POST sees, it doesn't edit
The POST view is read-only. Records change only at the academy, by the people responsible for them.
Recruits see only what's published
The recruit app is view-only and shows the published schedule, never staff drafts or other recruits' records.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Records are encrypted when they travel and when they're stored.
Your data stays yours
Academy data belongs to the academy. It is never sold or shared, and you can export your schedule to Excel at any time. Public demos run on fictional sample data only.

Questions from IT or legal?
We're glad to walk your IT, records or legal staff through how Duty Belt is hosted, who can reach what, and how records are handled, before anything is signed.
